Additional information

This step is carried out according to the result of channeling customs declaration announced in the previous step with the results of channel 3 or red channel.

The physical inspection of the goods includes checking the name of the product, codes, quantity, weight, volume, type, quality, origin, customs valuation, as well as checking and comparing the compatibility between the declared goods and the customs dossier.

Where a lot of goods is in a large quantity, with many categories or complicated inspection, the head of the customs office where the customs procedures are carried out shall decide on the extension of the actual inspection time, but the extension duration will not be longer than two days.

Where the results of the physical inspection of the goods are consistent with the content of customs declaration for goods subject to customs clearance and have fulfilled tax obligations, the customs clearance decision will be notified on the e-customs declaration system and a cleared customs declaration will be then released.
