Additional information

Customs declaration is carried out electronically (e-customs), except for some cases where customs declarants are selected electronically or declared on paper customs declarations as prescribed by laws.

In order to declare e-customs, customs declarants need to install the e-customs declaration system software and have digital signatures registered with customs authorities.

The customs declaration is notified by the customs authorities of the result of channeling immediately after the e-customs data processing system receives, checks and registers information on the customs declaration. The results of the channeling are announced on the e-customs data processing system in one of the following forms:

- Accepting information of declaring customs declaration (Channel 1 or green channel);

- Check the relevant documents of the customs dossier submitted by the customs declarant,based on the relevant documents uploaded in the customs electronic system (Channel 2 or yellow channel);

- Inspecting the goods on the basis of the relevant documents of the customs dossiers submitted in the customs electronic system (Channel 3 or red channel).

Customs declarants obtain immediately the cleared customs declaration if customs declarations are qualified as green lane in the online decision notice on risk channeling. Otherwise, based on the profiling results, they might have to undergo additional checks.
